Joined mixed practice in Andover in 1990 and, apart from one year in Salisbury, worked there until 2010. Became a partner in the practice in 1995

During this time became more specialised in avian and exotic species until my caseload was almost entirely based on these species. Was consultant Marwell Zoological Park for nearly a decade

Co-Editor of the 2nd Edition of the “Manual of Psittacine Birds” (BSAVA; 2005). Chapters written for this volume on “Basic Techniques” and   “Feather and Skin Disease”

 

Senior Co-Editor of the “Manual of Raptors, Pigeons and Passerines” ( BSAVA; 2008). Chapters written for this volume on “Basic Techniques”, “Raptor Feather and Skin Disease” and “Raptor Nutrition”

 

Currently working on a textbook of tortoise medicine and surgery!
