Wake Up in Spring Tortoise Event!

130 tortoises attended the 1st "Wake Up Event" held at Burghclere Down Community Centre

These comprised six different species, ranging from 100g to 8kg and from 1 year old to over 100!

Tortoises were weighed checked and dewormed.

Females were ultrasound scanned for eggs...whilst their owners enjoyed a cup of tea and had the opportunity to discuss tortoises with each other.

Overall it was thoroughly enjoyable and a resounding success in an excellent venue - we hope to repeat the event for pre-hibernation checks in the Autumn.
